Northern New Mexico Paving STEM Pathways with Natural STEM Mentors

Empowering Undergraduate STEM Majors

By Dt. Steven Cox, Northern New Mexico College | March 20, 2017

(Española, NM) – The work of the Northern New Mexico STEM Mentor Collective will be featured March 20-27 in an online National Video Showcase of efforts funded by the National Science Foundation to broaden participation in STEM fields. The public is invited to dialog with presenters of the videos throughout the week.

The Mentor Collective strives to broaden participation by empowering undergraduate STEM majors from the Espanola Valley to serve as sustained STEM role models in the schools and libraries throughout the valley.

The video showcases participating mentors, school students and teachers and gauges the program’s impact through the eyes of Northern college president, Dr. Rick Bailey, and Congressman Ben Ray Lujan.

The full collection of videos may be viewed starting Monday March 20 at http://includes2017.videohall.com
The entry for the Northern New Mexico STEM Mentor Collective will be at http://videohall.com/p/852
