Santa Fe County Sheriff to increase patrol during Holy Week

Pilgrams begin their walk to El Santuario de Chimayo

This morning Captain William Pacheco of the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office was special guest on KSWV Que Suave Radio’s morning show Santa Fe Today. Captain Pacheco urges people to drive with caution during holy week.

Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Deputies will increase traffic patrols and their overall presence beginning at noon, Thursday, April 13. 2017, when the majority of walkers start their trek to Chimayo. The enhanced law enforcement efforts by sheriff’s deputies include DWI checkpoints and traffic enforcement patrols. Deputies will also patrol the Santuario area on foot and on bicycle.
