19th Annual Fore Kids Golf Tournament

Golfers of all ages are invited to take a swing at the 19th annual “Fore” Kids Golf Tournament, set for Friday, August 25, 2017 at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe. This highly-anticipated, four person scramble, boasts a long history of tradition by generating revenue to offer recreational involvement for the youth of Santa Fe County at the Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe Golf Course and Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC).

For the past 19 years, the tournament has brought much needed scholarship opportunities and recognition to the youth of our city by raising over $1,000,000 in scholarship funds. “The City of Santa Fe is committed to making a difference in the lives of our local youth by offering this one-of-a- kind scholarship golf tournament that bene ts so many,” stated Jennifer Romero, MRC/Golf Course Manager. Since its inception, the tournament has provided over 36,000 children an opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle through recreational involvement. “I wouldn’t have been able to come to the gym as much if I didn’t have the Fore Kids scholarship to help me” stated Jose Tapia. “In addition to my wrestling practice, this scholarship helped me take my conditioning and training to the next level to achieve my goals.”

In addition, The City of Santa Fe is inviting the local businesses community to become a sponsor or offer an in-kind donation to help show support for this annual tournament. “Recognizing that every individual can make an impact is really something, and we are expecting to host one of the biggest Fore Kids tournaments than ever before,” stated Head Golf Pro, Alo Brodsky. “What a great way to show support and give the youth of Santa Fe an opportunity to a brighter future!”
