Park Water System is Out of Service

Santa Fe, NM –New Mexico State Parks officials announced that Manzano Mountain State Park’s water system is out of service and there is no water available in the park. State Park officials are advising campers to fill their water tanks in advance of arrival and to pack enough water for drinking and other domestic use. In addition, modern restroom facilities are closed, but vault and portable toilets are still available.
Manzano Mountains State Park is an excellent destination for hiking and camping. Nestled in the wooded foothills of the Manzanos, this park provides a quiet retreat and is a nice family get-away. Wildlife viewing, birding and photography are great activities at this park. Park Elevation 7,250 ft. Manzano Mountains State Park is located at Mile Marker 3, Hwy. 131, Mountainair, NM.
