PUEBLOS OF NAMBE, POJOAQUE, SAN ILDEFONSO, AND TESUQUE, SANTA FE COUNTY AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR CONFIRM DISCUSSIONS TO ADDRESS ONGOING CONCERNS REGARDING ROADS

Officials from the Pueblos of Nambe, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso, and Tesuque, Santa Fe County, and the U.S. Department of the Interior met on July 13 and 14, 2017, to discuss ongoing concerns regarding certain roads inside the exterior boundaries of the Pueblos. All parties came together in a spirit of cooperation and unity and are hopeful that these discussions will result in comprehensive, long term solutions for the roads in question.

These meetings were organized and facilitated by the U.S. Department of the Interior.  Due to the confidential nature of these initial discussions, and as allowed under New Mexico’s Open Meetings Act, last week’s meetings were closed to the public. However, any solutions resulting from the talks will be fully reviewed, discussed, and approved during one or more open, public meetings of the Board of County Commissioners, as required by the Open Meetings Act.  Additionally, in the coming weeks, the U.S. Department of the Interior will host a public meeting to update the public and to take public comments.
