Our After School Program Begins August 15th – Register Now!!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Fe/Del Norte is the oldest provider of after school programs in Northern New Mexico. From August-May of each year, we operate our award-winning After School Program at Club sites, Monday-Friday from 3:30 to 6:00 pm.

We provide programming to children on most school holidays and breaks, as well as in-service and parent/teacher conference days. Transportation is provided from the following schools to our Clubs in Santa Fe:

ALTO – Gonzales, Aspen, Carlos Gilbert

CAMINO DE JACOBO – Ramirez Thomas, Sweeney

VALLE VISTA – Turquoise Trail, Amy Biehl

ZONA – Cesar Chavez, Sweeney, Nino Otero, El Camino Real, Santa Nino, Ortiz,            Pinon, Nava, Kearney, Turquoise Trail, Chaparral, EJ Martinez

Research has shown that kids who participate in after school programs have:

  • Higher grades and test scores
  • Improved attitudes toward school, higher expectations for school achievement, better work habits, and higher attendance rates.
  • Lower youth involvement in risky behaviors: drinking, smoking, using drugs, having sex, and becoming involved in violence
  • Significant increase in positive behaviors: social and behavioral adjustment, better relations with peers, more effective conflict resolution strategies, and increased parent involvement

More information about our 2017-2018 After School Program is available on our website at www.bgcsantafe.org/membership along with the application form.
