Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of The Vietnam War & 30th of Santa Fe Memorial Dedication

COMMEMORATION OF THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE VIETNAM WAR and the 30th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SANTA FE MEMORIAL DEDICATION

On Saturday August 12, 2017, the names of the 17 SANTA FEANS who died, and one MIA, in Vietnam were read at 11 AM at the John F. Griego Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park. A proclamation was given by by Mayor Javier Gonzales, and the event was sponsored by the Santa Fe Veterans Advisory Board.

Participants included: Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 996, American Legion Riders Chapter 26 Post 1, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Santa Fe American legion Post 1, Santa Fe Veterans Center, Santa Fe Community College Veterans Resource Center, R&R for Vets In, USS Santa Fe Committee
