Music in the Mountains at Hyde Memorial State Park

Melodies, waterfalls and wildflowers await you this weekend!

Santa Fe, NM – Enjoy a beautiful summer evening at the Historic Lodge at Hyde Memorial State Park this weekend! The Friends of Hyde Memorial State Park are hosting Music in the Mountains August 12-13th from 4-6pm both days.

The public is invited to attend this outdoor concert. The event is free for valid New Mexico State Parks annual pass holders; otherwise a $5 per vehicle day use fee applies.

While at Hyde Memorial State Park, explore the trails, check out the waterfall and wildflowers. Monsoon rains bring abundant, beautiful mountain wildflowers so bring a camera, and wear your dancing shoes!

The Concert line-up is as follows:

August 12-13th, Sat. and Sun. 4-4:45 pm. Benzo III – With all the potential to be a truly international success, 2015 New Mexico Music Award Winner Benzo III showcases full-spectrum star power, performing an outstanding set of original music. Overflowing with northern New Mexico’s best young musical talent, Benzo III is led by stellar, charismatic front man, Benito Martinez III. Playing a genuinely unique sound, which some say is hip hop, but, is more like progressive jazz-rock-funk hip hop with alternative hints of rap, soul, and reggae.

Sat. 5-6 pm The Nowhere Band – Beatle tribute band bringing your favorite Beatle songs to life (Bob Curtis, Tim & Evelyne Taylor, Brad Bennett)

Sun, 5-6 pm. The Banded Geckos – Original acoustic folk & swing featuring guitar, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, bass & percussion with blazing 3-part harmony (Tim & Evelyne Taylor, Gus Fory, Brad Bennett)
