Learn to Save Money on Your Utility Bills at the City of Santa Fe Energy and Water Savings Event

City Water Utility, New Mexico Gas and PNM On Hand to Help Reduce Energy and Water Use in Santa Fe

Santa Fe, NM – The City of Santa Fe will be hosting a free and open to the public energy and water savings event at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) Community Room on Wednesday, November 1, from 5:30-7:30pm. Representatives from the city’s Water Conservation Office, New Mexico Gas and the Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) will be on-hand to talk with the public about the simple steps they can take to reduce energy and water use in their homes, and how the programs they offer can further reduce people’s energy and water use, and help them save money on monthly utility bills.

“Our community cares deeply about the environment, and saving water and energy in our homes is one of the easiest ways for us to reduce our carbon footprint and save money on our bills,” said Mayor Javier Gonzales.

“Turning the lights off and shutting off the water tap are good starts,” he added, “but there are several programs our local utilities provide to the community that we should take advantage of to reduce our use and put money back into our pockets. This event will help to do just that.”

The public can attend the event any time between 5:30-7:30pm, and are encouraged to bring in their utility bills for review. There will be free giveaways and light refreshments.
