Here’s Our Chance to Save the Gila!

Help us save the Gila River!

If you’ve ever hunted, fished, or hiked the Gila, you know about its spectacular beauty, pristine wildlife habitat, and the incredible game species these public lands produce.

For years, the Gila has been under threat from a proposed diversion. After years of working to stop the diversion and encourage other regional water conservation projects, we’re almost there.

But now more than ever, WE NEED YOUR HELP to save the Gila.

This costly and infeasible diversion is nearly off the table, and the four southwest counties of New Mexico deserve their fair share of federal funds to fund local water conservation projects like the Grant County Water project to provide safe and reliable drinking water to the communities of Hurley, Bayard and Santa Clara, and to fund a study to see exactly how much water is left in the Mimbres Aquifer to supply water to Luna County.

Please help keep the Gila wild and preserve our hunting and fishing opportunities here for years to come. Tell your legislators you don’t support a diversion.
