Santa Fe County Spelling Bee Participating Schools, Time, Date, Location Announced

Santa Fe, NM – Santa Fe Public Schools cordially invites our community to the Santa Fe County Spelling Bee on Friday, January 19, 1:00 p.m. in the Jemez Room at the Santa Fe Community College, 6401 Richards Avenue. Dr. Veronica Garcia, SFPS Superintendent of Schools, is scheduled to deliver the welcome. The following SFPS schools have entered student contestants: Amy Biehl Elementary, Carlos Gilbert Elementary, Cesar Chavez Elementary, Chaparral Elementary, E.J. Martinez Elementary, El Camino Real Academy, Gonzales Community School, Kearny Elementary, Milagro Middle School, Ortiz Middle School, Piñon Elementary, Ramirez Thomas Elementary, Sweeney Elementary, Tesuque Elementary, and Wood Gormley Elementary.

The following county schools with student contestants participating are Academy for Technology and the Classics, Desert Academy, Pojoaque Intermediate School, Rio Grande School, Santa Fe Prep, Santa Fe School for the Arts and Sciences, Santo Niño Regional Catholic School, and Turquoise Trail Charter School,

All participating students will compete for the county championship. Winners will compete in the New Mexico State Spelling Bee to be held on March 24, 2018, at Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque.
