Spanish Spelling Bee Results

Santa Fe, NM – The Santa Fe Public Schools hosted the District Spanish Spelling Bee on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the SFPS Board Room. Congratulations to the following winners: 1st place, Michelle Ortiz – 8th grade at Ortiz Middle School; 2nd place, Dillan McCoy – 4th grade at El Camino Real Academy; and 3rd place, Jackeline Ortiz – 5th grade at Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
The participants competed at their individual school sites in order to qualify for the District Spelling Bee. Eight SFPS schools and 16 students participated this year.

Sweeney Elementary – Giselle Gomez and Litzy Zapata
Ramirez Thomas Elementary – Dayana Ruvalcaba and Jassiel Avila

Milagro Middle School – Odalis Catana Villalba and Lizeth Ornelas
Ortiz Middle School – Michelle Ortiz and Evelin Valenzuela
Nava Elementary – Darien Bamack and Alan Deras Perez
