Transcending Tradition with artist, Arthur Lopez

On Sunday, June 24th award winning artist Arthur Lopez will discuss the process and inspiration behind his work that blends traditional materials and techniques with contemporary subject matter.

Arthur Lopez is a Santa Fe based artist that utilizes traditional methods of northern New Mexican art. All of his work is hand made and painted with natural pigments. Juxtaposed to his traditional materials, Lopez creates contemporary scenes; updating stories of Saints that are integrated into political and social commentaries.
