Governor Martinez Announces Expansion of Homegrown New Mexico Company

By New Mexico True

Governor Susana Martinez announced that a homegrown information technology company, Advanced Network Management, will expand to a new headquarters location in Albuquerque and create up to 40 new high quality technology and management jobs. The company will also invest nearly $6 million in the expansion.

“It’s always a pleasure to announce that a company from right here in New Mexico is expanding and increasing their investment in our state,” said Governor Martinez. “By making the decision to stay here long-term, ANM is encouraging growth in New Mexico, creating quality jobs and showing us why it’s critical to continue our commitment to making New Mexico business-friendly.”

During initial talks with the company, ANM was focused on attaining a 5-year lease for ‘short-term’ growth, but through collaborative economic development efforts by the state, city, and company this plan significantly evolved – ANM has chosen to acquire a new headquarters rather than lease which will help the company establish deeper roots in New Mexico. The project is still subject to final approval by the Albuquerque City Council and the company would relocate to its new Headquarters upon completing the acquisition.

“Advanced Network Management is one of those homegrown, Albuquerque companies that isn’t just creating jobs-they are contributing to our community, bringing outside money to our state, and giving our residents a chance to get ahead,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “When we invest in our local companies, in focused sectors that provide quality jobs, we can build an economy that works for us all.”

The New Mexico Economic Development Department will invest up to $750,000 in Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funds in the expansion and the City of Albuquerque will contribute $250,000 of LEDA funds. The LEDA award for ANM rewards long-term commitment and incremental job creation. The City will act as the fiscal agent for the award. LEDA is New Mexico’s closing fund, a tool that recruits new businesses to the state while helping those that are already here grow and thrive. Governor Martinez fought to grow the closing fund to $56 million, up from nearly zeroed out when she took office.

“ANM’s expansion represents a true measure of how New Mexico’s economic development toolbox makes a powerful difference” said Economic Development Secretary Matt Geisel. “Supporting homegrown firms has always been a priority, and ANM’s growth here represents how tools like LEDA and JTIP can serve to accelerate and anchor growth within our state. I am thrilled ANM is deepening its roots to expand and strengthen New Mexico’s competitiveness and innovation in the technology arena.”

Headquartered in Albuquerque, Advanced Network Management, Inc. designs, implements, and supports IT systems for large and midsize organizations. Advanced Network Management, too, has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the state with over 800% revenue growth over the past five years.

“ANM is honored to be considered by the State of New Mexico and City of Albuquerque for funding through the Local Economic Development Act to support our proposed HQ expansion project.” said ANM CEO, Raminder Mann. “ANM has had tremendous success over the last 5 years in expanding our engineering capabilities to be a top technology solution provider at the local, regional, and national level. ANM is truly a New Mexico company, established in Albuquerque in 1994 and continues to work closely with New Mexico’s educational institutions to build a strong local technology workforce. ANM is committed to being a leader in our industry in innovative ideas, technologies, initiatives and being an employer of choice. This Albuquerque HQ expansion will enable us to deliver on our commitment to our New Mexico community of hiring local talent and increasing investment in training and workforce development in upcoming technology areas.”

“Advanced Network Management, headquartered in Albuquerque, is a rapidly growing technology firm that provides a variety of IT solutions to some of the world’s best known companies,” said Debra Inman, Senior Vice President of AED. “ANM is an employer of choice, creating high-paying jobs for New Mexicans, investing in workforce development and participating in community initiatives to strengthen our technology sector. We are excited about ANM’s expansion plans and look forward to the company’s continued success here.”
