The City of Santa Fe’s Bicycle and Trails Advisory Committee (BTAC) invites you to a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Acequia Trail Bridge Connections at Kathryn Avenue and Onate Place on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 4:00 PM. We will meet at the new bridge at the south end of Kathryn Avenue.
The Acequia Trail Connections provide two bridge connections over the Acequia Madre and into the Railyard, which is the nexus of the city’s non-motorized Rail Trail and Acequia Trail. BTAC’s chair Councilor JoAnne Vigil Coppler says “we are excited to open these new bridge connections to improve connectivity in our community. They will greatly improve the safety of both bicyclists and pedestrians.”
Santa Fe Beautiful/Santa Fe County will be hosting zero-waste refreshments courtesy of Souder Miller & Associates and Lockwood Construction. Please bring your own water bottles. The public is encouraged to walk or bike to the event. On-street parking is limited.
