Conchas Lake: Fishing was good using senkos, jigs, curly tail grubs, swim baits and tubes for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass. Fishing was fair to good using homemade dough bait, cut bait and chicken liver for catfish. Fishing was fair using spoons and blade baits for white bass and walleye. We had no reports on other species.

Eagle Nest Lake: Fishing was good using worms, PowerBait and small jigs for perch. Fishing was very good using worms, PowerBait, Fire Balls and spinners for rainbow trout. Several limits were reported. Fishing was slow to fair using in line spinners and worms for northern pike. Kokanee snagging was slow with just one 12-inch fish taken. We had no reports on other species.

Eagle Rock Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, Fire Balls and worms for trout.

Fawn Lakes: Trout fishing was slow.

Gallinas River: Fishing was fair to good using Fire Balls and worms for trout.

Pecos River: Stream flow near the town of Pecos on Monday morning was 46.4 cfs. Fishing was good using copper John Barrs, prince nymphs, wooly worms, small gold spinners, worms and Fire Balls for brown and rainbow trout.

Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday morning was 41.8 cfs. Trout fishing below Questa was good using prince nymphs, Fire Balls and worms. Fishing at the hatchery pond was very good using PowerBait, Fire Balls and worms.

Rio Grande: Stream flow on Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 199 cfs. Trout fishing was very good using prince nymphs, bead head hare’s ears, pheasant tails, Kastmasters, Panther Martins, Fisher Chick spinners, salmon eggs, PowerBait and night crawlers. We had no reports on other species.

Rio Hondo: Stream flow on Monday morning near Valdez was 6.85 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.

Rio Mora: Stream flow near Terrero on Monday morning was 9.8 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using Fire Balls and worms for trout.

Rio Pueblo: Stream flow near Penasco on Monday morning was 11.8 cfs. Fishing was good using salmon eggs and worms for trout.

Storrie Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Ute Lake: Fishing was good using blade baits and spoons at 30 to 35 feet for white bass. Walleye fishing has picked up some and anglers found them at 35 to 50 feet. Most were caught by anglers using silver blade baits. A few smallmouth bass and largemouth bass were caught by anglers using crank baits and jigs. We had no reports on other species. The surface water temp was in the high 50s.

Abiquiu Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Animas River: Water flow below Aztec on Monday morning was 300 cfs. Trout fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, worms and salmon eggs.

Albuquerque Area Drains: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Bluewater Lake: Fishing was fair using large swim bait for tiger muskie. Fishing was good using night crawlers, hot dogs and liver for catfish. We had no reports on other species. Fishing pressure has been light.

Brazos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Canjilon Lakes: Trout fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait, worms and Fire Balls.

Chama River: Monday morning flows below El Vado and Abiquiu were 107 cfs and 102 cfs respectively. Trout fishing below El Vado was good using worms, PowerBait, salmon eggs, copper John Barrs, and wooly worms and for brown and rainbow trout. Anglers using worms also reported catching a few perch. Fishing below Abiquiu was good using worms, salmon eggs and small bead head nymphs for trout.

Cochiti Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

El Vado Lake: Fishing was slow. Fishing pressure was light.

Fenton Lake: Fishing was fair using salmon eggs, PowerBait, worms, gold and silver spinners, black wooly buggers and Pistol Petes for trout.

Jemez Waters: Stream flow on the Jemez near the town of Jemez on Monday morning was 19.1 cfs. Fishing on the Jemez and the East Fork was fair to good using worms, copper John Barrs and salmon eggs for brown and rainbow trout. We had no reports on other streams.

Navajo Lake: HOT SPOT FOR KOKANEE SNAGGING: Mathew Medina reported that he and Ambyre Medina of Albuquerque had their limits within 1.5 hours on Nov. 4 and many other anglers had the same success. Fishing was fair to good using roe sacs for trout. Fishing was fair to good using jig and grub combinations, senkos and worms for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Fishing was fair using swim baits, crank baits and jigs for northern pike. Designated no-wake areas are closed from Oct. 1 through Nov. 8.
