Newly engaged, Tim Tebow has again been invited to the New York Mets’ spring training camp in Florida, and still genuinely wanting to chase his dream on the diamond along with getting married

While having a grand time on the rides at Disney World with his new fiancé, the former Miss Universe, Tim Tebow also welcomed good news from the New York Mets on Thursday.

Now if you thought his appearance at spring training last year was a big marketing ploy, well, you are correct, and the Mets admitted it. The former Heisman Trophy winner turned tolling minor leaguer is coming back, and the circus surrounding him will likely be right behind.

The Mets hold spring training in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Tebow is a Floridian, playing high school sports and quarterbacking the Florida Gators. That’s one reason the Major League team is inviting him again, plus his popularity brings crowds.

He also has friends in high places of the Mets’ front office, for general manager Brodie Van Wagenen was previously the ex Jet’s agent. Van Wagenen has already suggested that Tebow be ready for a call-up if he performs well in Triple A,where he’s expected to start the 2019 season.

The Mets also like his attitude. He doesn’t differ from where he’s assigned to, just shows up to play and boost attendance. He doesn’t hesitate to greet the fans, sign autographs, and enjoys being back playing a sport he hadn’t played since he was All-State in high school.

And he never invites controversy.

The outfielder ended up having a solid season at Double A Binghamton, hitting .273 with six home runs and 36 RBI in 84 games before being shut down after surgery on his hamate bone.

But all the credit goes to Tebow for not hanging it up after that injury. Considering he can probably survive without that minor league check. It seems he genuinely wants to chase this dream.

So really, Tebow’s spring invitation should come as no surprise.  It’s a no-brainer for the organization, and there’s always a very slim chance he could be in Flushing if the Mets are out of it in September and nothing else

To draw fans to the ballpark.

And now he has a future as a husband after getting engaged recently.
