PNM invites customers to send a personal thank you card to line crews, in honor of national holiday

By PNM

National Lineman Appreciation Day is Thursday, April 18, 2019, and is a national day of recognition and an opportunity for us to highlight the dangerous and challenging work that linemen do. PNM is proud of the line crews, who work long hours in extreme conditions to power our community, and we’d like to take time to honor their hard work and appreciate what they do…and we are asking for our community to help.

PNM is excited to officially launch the Thank a Lineman webpage. Starting April 1, 2019, customers will have a chance to show gratitude to the line crews by visiting PNM.com/ThankALineman, and sending a personal “Thank You” card directly to our linemen.

It’s simple. Customers choose one of three available card designs and complete a form with their name, city, and the message they would like to send to PNM crews. If they have a photo with their favorite lineman, or an appropriate photo of their family that they would like to include so our crews can see who sent the card, they will also have an option to upload an image. Once the form is completed, and the customer hits “Submit”, PNM will print the card out and share it directly with the crews.

“Linemen are among the first responders when storms and natural disasters strike our community, and as we stay safely in our homes, they are strapping on their gear and preparing to face whatever challenges lie ahead,” said Jeff Nawman, director of Transmission and Distribution Operations with PNM. “It is our honor to celebrate the hard work and dedication that our crews have to keep the lights on in our communities.”

The PNM.com/ThankALineman webpage will be available from April 1 through April 30. Please help us #ThankALineman and express how grateful we are for the work they do.
