New Mexico Wildlife: From The Editor

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is very pleased to share the latest issue of New Mexico Wildlife, our seasonal magazine for hunters, anglers, outdoor recreationists and wildlife and shooting sports enthusiasts throughout our state.

Unlike past magazine issues, this edition is the first we are releasing solely as an online digital publication. While we will continue offering printed copies of a selection of future issues, we believe increasing frequency and adding exclusive downloadable PDF issues expands our reach to even more readers with timely information about Department programs, personnel and accomplishments.

In addition to the magazine, we also now offer New Mexico Wildlife Monthly Update, an e-newsletter featuring stories exclusive to the Department website. The Department is always eager to share stories about our latest efforts to conserve our state’s wildlife. This monthly newsletter features articles, videos and photographs highlighting critical Department missions such as wildlife population surveys and relocations, fish spawns and habitat improvements.

Whether you are a seasoned hunter or angler, an avid birdwatcher, wildlife photographer or just someone who enjoys getting outside and taking in the beauty of our diverse state, we hope you find New Mexico Wildlife to be a great resource.
