By NMGSD

About three dozen motor vehicles will be available for purchase Thursday during the monthly public sale at the state surplus property warehouse in Santa Fe.

Other merchandise for sale to the public includes used furniture and electronics, as well as knives and other items surrendered to the federal Transportation Security Administration.

The warehouse of the Surplus Property Bureau is located at 1990 Siringo Road. It will be open to the public Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The vehicles expected to be available for public sale include sedans, vans, SUVs and a pickup. The vehicles will be sold at fixed prices ranging from $900 to $7,000. Prices are set using national pricing guides.

Most vehicles have more than 100,000 miles of use.

The state surplus warehouse is open to the public the last Thursday of every month.

The General Services Department is the support agency for state government, providing facility management, printing services, procurement, public employee health and other benefits, liability coverage for public agencies and transportation services.
