Tough 4-3 setback for St. Michael’s girl’s soccer at Socorro Saturday, while Santa Fe High and Robertson played to a scoreless tie, as did Piedra Vista and Los Alamos

The St. Michael’s girl’s soccer team got away to a 2-1 lead at Socorro Saturday, but the home side, undefeated at home, outscored the Lady Horsemen, 3-1, in the second half for a 4-3 triumph.

 

The outcome dropped St. Michael’s to 5-2 and advanced Socorro to 7-1, 4-0 at home. It evened the Lady Horsemen record on the road at 2-2. Socorro have now scored 41 goals and allowed 16, while St. Michael’s has 31 goals while yielding nine.

 

Santa Fe High School turned back Rio Rancho, 3-0, on the road, and then played a scoreless tie at home versus Robertson. The Demonettes are 3-3-1 and the Cardinals 4-2-1. Piedra Vista and Los Alamos also went 0-0, and Farmington nipped Los Alamos, 1-0.

 

In volleyball, Monte del Sol blanked Evangel Christian, 3-0, and also won, 3-1, over Clovis Christian, Academy of Technology and The Classics took down Miyamura, 3-0, Moriarty disposed of Los Alamos, 3-1, but the Hilltoppers swept Texico, 3-0.

 

Then there was Desert Academy getting past Santa Fe Waldorf, 3-1, Robertson shutting down Santa Rosa, 3-0, and Pojoaque Valley sweeping Albuquerque Del Norte, 3-0.
