Pete Aragon Show

img_0096-225x300Pete Aragon, born and raised in Santa Fe, was hired by Anthony Gonzales over 15 years ago to DJ at Que Suave Radio because of Pete’s enthusiasm for radio.

Pete started his career in broadcasting in the 1990s with KSFR, Santa Fe Community College’s non-profit radio station, while taking communication classes. His radio program at KSFR consisted of classical music and other “relaxing” dinner music.

Pete isn’t shy in telling people that he was born with a learning disability, and has been involved in the Literacy Volunteer program since the 1980s. His experience with Literacy Volunteers took him to the state capitol where he gave a speech on the Rotunda floor to talk about the importance of Literacy Volunteers. He wants to serve as a role model for other people with learning disabilities to show that they can succeed in anything they put their mind to.

Pete also has his own music DJ business, and is an accomplished drummer.

Pete loves to travel with Karmella Maestas de Aragon, and his favorite food is enchiladas, beans and a fried bologna with potato burrito.
