Jaguar Boys and Girls Named to All District Basketball Teams

Capital High seniors Jeremy Anaya, Tyler Alarid, Isaiah Brooks named to first team of 2-5A All-District boy’s basketball, Jaguars’ sophomore Kayannah Cole honored on girl’s first team

Boys All District

The Capital High boy’s basketball gained three spots on the first team of 2-5A All-District basketball. All are seniors, guards Jeremy Anaya and Tyler Alarid and post Isaiah Brooks. Second team honors went to sophomore forward Matt Smith.

Girls All District

On the first team for Capital was sophomore Kayannah Cole (shooting below), while making the second team were senior Rachel Friend and sophomore Miranda Cortez of the Jaguars.

From the Sundevils, first team honors went to Lavato and senior Leah DeAguero. On the second team were senior Alyicia Archibeque and sophomore Kaylee Chavez. Co-Player of the Year honors belonged to Espanola Valley senior Alexis Lovato sharing it with Albuquerque Academy senior Sophie Long.

Note: Capital boys and the Espanola girls were district champions.
