The NMAER has chosen to establish a Scholarship Program for current public school educators and teachers to further their education. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to current public school educators working on an undergraduate degree in the field of education or current public teachers working toward a graduate degree in the field of education during the 2017-2018 school year. Santa Fe Public Schools is serving FREE meals through the Summer Feeding Program to anyone between the ages of 1 – 18 at the Franklin Miles Park located at 1027 Camino Carlos Rey. We will be offering meals daily, Monday-Friday from June 5th – July 21st. We will be closed July 3rd and 4th, but will be back in action on July 5th. Our meal serving period is from 11:00-1:30 each day.

SFPS staff will experience hands-on, technology based PD training . Many content topics will be covered at varying levels of technology expertise.
Courses will be 3 hour sessions beginning July 13, 2017 through July 28, 2017. The Innovate Academy Camp will take place the week of July 17-21 (from 9am-3:30pm each day) on the campus of Santa Fe High School, and all Santa Fe middle schoolers (incoming 7th-9th graders) are eligible to attend, free of charge. This camp will provide a unique opportunity for students to pursue creative activities through hands-on experiences in biology, computer programming, chemistry, engineering applications, math, and physics. During their week-long summer camp experience, students can expect to engage in hands-on learning with content experts; participate in labs and experiments, build working models, and see their creations in action; take interesting field trips and/or engage in exciting field work opportunities; as well as connect with real world applications of high level subject matter in a way that creates meaningful connections to their learning. Come play and learn in our outdoor science classroom for toddlers (aka ·the sandbox. Explore the properties of sand and water through digging, castle-building, ·cooking·, and imaginations going wild! Geared toward young children and their families. Every Saturday at the Railyard Park – 740 Cerrillos Road May 27th through August 12, 2017 10am to noon.
Hosted at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe, 205 Caja del Rio. Four Person Scramble for $120 per person and includes lunch sponsored by Morgan Stanley, adult beverages and 4 mulligans. Designed for students K-6th Spanish Colonial Days give students the unique opportunity to engage in activities of a typical young person during Spanish Colonial times. For three days each in the spring and fall the ranch is alive with costumed volunteers ready to share and interpret the history of Las Golondrinas and New Mexico for school children. To better understand our history, students can take part in the same daily chores as the early settlers. Candle making, corn grinding, rope-making, clothes washing, wool carding and spinning are among the several hands-on activities very popular with our young visitors.
