David Coss Endorses Kate Noble for Mayor

PRESS RELEASE

Former Mayor to Chair Candidate Campaign

Former Mayor of Santa Fe R. David Coss is announcing his endorsement of Kate Noble for Mayor and that he will be the chair of the campaign.

“Kate has the right experience to immediately be a successful mayor of Santa Fe. She has years of experience implementing policy, building relationships with workers in the city, community members and small business, and working with members of the City Council to get things done.”

David Coss was elected mayor of Santa Fe in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 on a wide margin. Kate Noble was a key advisor to his administration beginning in 2008. She managed a number of citywide special projects including the 2012 General Obligation Bond project proposed by Mayor Coss and approved by voters for $20 million in capital improvements. Those projects included $2 million for storm-water management, $1.8 million for the solar system over the parking lot at the Genoveva Chavez Center, and $14 million for parks and trails.

“Having worked with Kate, I know she can bring the community together and steer the city towards a great future. Her local roots and upbringing, plus her experience on a global stage and energy to do the job, will be a powerful combination for Santa Fe.”
