New Mexico Music Educators’ All-State Conference

Santa Fe, NM – Many band, choir, guitar, and orchestra students from Capital High and Santa Fe High were selected to perform in New Mexico Music Educators’ All-State Conference performing ensembles on January 13 at the University of New Mexico.

Teachers supporting these students are Marilyn Barnes, Choral Director, Santa Fe High; Pablo Champion, Guitar Ensemble Director, Santa Fe High; Robert Chrisman, Band Director, Santa Fe High; Jeff Owens, Choral Director, Capital High; Gabe Tafoya, Orchestra Director, Santa Fe High.

A stringent and exacting audition is required of any student performing in these ensembles. All students put in hours or dedicated practice. This is the highest state level honor a music student may attain.
