Dozens Participate in Bicycle Convoy Challenge

Over 30 people showed up for the May 18 bicycle convoy challenge associated with 2018 Bike Week. This convoy was a challenge from the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners to the City of Santa Fe to meet or beat its participation. County Commissioners, Anna Hansen and Ed Moreno, and City Counselor, Renee Villarreal, joined staff members and the general public for a ride from the County Administrative Offices around the plaza, down the Rail Trail and Acequia Trail, to the Baca District where they joined others enjoying food trucks and informational booths. Thank you to everyone who showed up!

Fixit Clinic Saves Items from Landfill

On April 28, sixteen volunteer Fixit Coaches with skills with textiles to electronics spent their Saturday afternoonhelping others repair their broken items. Two-thirds of the 31 items brought into the event were fixed. The venue, Make Santa Fe, was perfect for the event. Participants were able to utilize the 3D printer to create a new part needed for a handheld coffee grinder; the wood shop was used to fix a wooden chair; and the sewing room had a 100% success rate.
