Zia Road Rail Runner Station Dedication

Dozens gathered for ribbon cutting ceremony

(Santa Fe, NM) – Santa Fe has a new rail runner station. The Zia Road Rail Runner station was dedicated at 12 noon today. Dewey Cave, Executive Director of the Mid-Region Council of Governments was joined today by Santa Fe Mayor Javier Gonzales, Tom Church, NMDOT Cabinet Secretary, Terry Doyle, Rio Metro Regional Transit Director, Bernallio County Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins and Santa Fe County Commissioner Ed Moreno.

The Zia Road Station is located at the intersection of Zia Road and St. Francis Drive in Santa Fe. The station primarily serves local residents and destinations. This is a “kiss-and-ride” station; parking is not available, although passengers can be dropped off and picked up at the station platform. Two designated van accessible ADA spaces are available for drop-off and pick-up only next to the station platform. Additionally, the station is accessible by walking and bicycling.
