For New Mexicans who are currently insured through the ACA on the Marketplace you will need to mark your calendars, prep your documents, and call your agent.

The open enrollment period for all individual plans through the Marketplace will be cut in ½.  We will only have 45 days to renew or apply for health coverage.  What was once a 3-month period from November 1^st through January 31^st has now been dwindled down to 45 days.

You will now only have from November 1^st through December 15^th to review your income, review and contemplate the plans that are available in your area, verify if your doctor is in the network, review the formulary to see if your prescriptions are covered, and select and enroll.

If you have ever tried to do this on your own you may have encountered many problems as many New Mexicans have, but this is your opportunity to acquire a licensed and certified broker, such as, the folks at The Health Insurance Store.
