Dear Neighbor,

It is going to be a busy month for those who live in the northern half of District 46.  This pertains to about nine thousand residents. As you know, the Aamodt settlement deadline is September 15, 2017.  With that said, the State and the Federal governments are pushing hard to draw this process to a close. I will give a list of upcoming meetings that are being held to discuss the the next stages of the Aamodt settlement process and the issues associated with rights-of-way in the valley. Hopefully many of you will join me.  I will be hosting one of the town hall meetings and co-hosting the other town hall meeting.  The other meetings will be hosted by the NM State Engineers office.  Please recognize all the dates are in rapid succession.

5.) Representative Carl Trujillo will co-host a town hall meeting with US Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Allen Mikkelson on rights-of-way issues pertaining to roadways in the Pojoaque – Nambe – El Rancho areas (its not just an El Rancho issue).  There has been tremendous attention on this issue and Commissioner Mikkelson has agreed to come meet with the community.  This town hall meeting will be from 6-8 pm on August 16th at the Frank B.
