Undefeated Los Lunas claims another volleyball championship by sweeping past Roswell Goddard in the annual Tournament of Champions

Also in the Gold Bracket, Demonettes finish fourth, Capital fifth and Santa Fe Prep seventh, with Robertson winning the Silver Bracket over Pojoaque Valley

Undefeated Los Lunas won yet another volleyball Tournament of Champions title by breezing to a 3-0 sweep over Roswell Goddard in Saturday’s Gold Bracket final played at co-host Santa Fe High School.

The Tigers are now 6-0 after turning in a 25-13, 25-22, 25-12 result over the Rockets. In the Gold Bracket semifinals, Los Lunas defeated Farmington, 3-2 and Goddard (2-6) won over Santa Fe High.

In the clash for third place, Farmington won a tight 3-2 match over the Demonettes (6-2).The scores were 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 22-25, and 15-12 in the deciding set.

St. Michael’s (7-2) finished fifth by topping Piedra Vista, while seventh place went to Capital High (4-4) in a five-set triumph over Santa Fe Indian School (4-4) via scores of 21-25, 25-10, 25-20, 14-25, and 15-8 in the clincher.

In the Silver Bracket final played at Capital, Las Vegas Robertson swept past Pojoaque Valley, 25-16, 25-20, 25-12. Lovington placed fifth and Santa

Fe Prep came in seventh. Lovington nipped the Griffins, 3-2, with Prep (5-3) then taking a 3-0 victory over Bernalillo.
