Santa Fe City and County Advisory Council on Food Policy is Seeking 2 New Members
Here are currently two vacant membership positions to be appointed by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners.
Santa Fe County is seeking citizens to serve on the Santa Fe City and County Advisory Council on Food Policy (Food Policy Council). The purpose of the Food Policy Council is to improve the availability of safe and nutritious food at reasonable prices for all residents, particularly those in need. The Council is seeking two individuals who can commit to attend regular meetings and community events, have strong community relationships, have skills and knowledge related to food and farming and above all are passionate about building a stronger food system in Santa Fe city and county! Members can expect to assist in engaging and eliciting community input and in studying and recommending policy relating to getting, learning about and growing food in Santa Fe County. There are currently two vacant membership positions, to be appointed by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners.
Applicants must be actively engaged in at least one program, service, or business related to hunger and food insecurity or the production, processing and distribution of food. Applicants may reside anywhere within Santa Fe County. A background check will be required.
The Food Policy Council generally holds meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at 9 a.m.

Santa Fe County Open Land, Trails And Parks Advisory Committee (COLTPAC) District 1 Member
Santa Fe County is currently seeking a County resident from Commission District 1 to serve on the County Open Lands, Trails and Parks Advisory Committee (COLTPAC). COLTPAC is an advisory committee to the Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to open space, trails and parks. Members of the committee are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners based on letters of interest and qualifications.

Santa Fe County is Seeking Citizens to Serve on the Santa Fe County DWI Planning Council (DWIPC)
Santa Fe County is seeking community members with a background in law enforcement, emergency services, media, or courts/judicial to serve on the DWI Planning Council. Members are volunteers appointed by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC).
Anyone interested in being appointed to the DWI Planning Council must attend at least one DWI Planning Council meeting in order to be eligible to be recommended for appointment.
The meetings are held every second Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. and are held at 2052 Galisteo Street, Suite B Conference Room. Interested individuals are invited to attend the next meeting, scheduled for September 12, 2017.
A background check will be required for all applicants chosen.
