Youth of the Month is a Boys & Girls Club recognition program that focuses on acknowledging and making Club members aware of their own leadership abilities.
Unlike many Boys & Girls Club programs, which are implemented over two or three months time, Youth of the Month is most commonly run on an ongoing basis over the course of a year. It is primarily a recognition program, but engaging youth in various leadership experiences is also an important part of the program. Youth of the Month is the first step in a comprehensive leadership development program which also includes Junior Youth of the Year and Youth of the Year.
The staff at each of our Club sites selects one member each month based on traits such as attitude, trustworthiness, and willingness to help others. One “Youth of the Month” is then selected by Program staff and receives a bicycle donated by Walmart.

Each year we depend on the generosity of many individuals, corporations, foundations, civic organizations and government funding to support our annual operating needs.
We provide scholarships for those who need assistance with our program fees. A contribution of any size will help make a difference in the life of a child. Investing in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Fe/Del Norte is investing in the future of our Northern New Mexico communities.
As a non-profit organization, we depend on support from individual and corporate donations, federal, state and local grants, and special events to fund our annual budget.
