The New Mexico Film Office Announces “Santa Fake” to film in New Mexico

Santa Fe, N.M. – New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the feature “Santa Fake,” produced by Santa Fake Movie, LLC, will begin principal photography at the end of December through mid-January.
“Even during the holiday season, New Mexico’s film industry is at work,” said New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis. “New Mexico is a prime location for movies of all genres and we’re proud to welcome another production to New Mexico.”
The production will employ approximately 45 New Mexico crew members, approximately 15 New Mexico principal actors and approximately 150 New Mexico background talent.
“Santa Fake” is written and directed by Santa Fe local, Julie Burris, and stars Damian McGinty and Heather Morris from the hit television series “Glee”.  The film was cast by the film’s co-producer and local Casting Director Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA, and includes Tony Amendola, Soledad St. Hilaire, Pancho Moler, Judd Nelson, Jeff Fahey, John Rhys-Davies and Santa Fe’s own Gary Farmer.
The producing team includes Santa Fe local and prominent feature film producer, Chad Burris; long time New Mexico film technician, Jonathan Delaney Marsh; Matt Hanson, who has produced three projects here in the Land of Enchantment; and NaNi Rivera, Chair of the Santa Fe Film Festival.
Santa Fake is a candy-colored Christmas extravaganza!  In this adventurous fish out of water tale, Pat Keeley finds his joy after being chased by criminals and the law from New York to New Mexico where he uncovers that Santa might not be fake at all.  Full of quirky characters and classic Christmas music, this film inspires with themes of community, faith, hope and the generous spirit of good ol’ Saint Nick.
