2nd Annual Renewable Energy Festival scheduled for Earth Day weekend at Northern New Mexico College, Española, NM.

Española, NM) — After a hugely successful first run, the Renewable Energy Festival returns for a second year on Earth Day weekend, April 20, 21, 2018 at Northern New Mexico College in Española.

The festival kicks off on Friday, April 20, with music and dance performances that celebrate Northern New Mexico’s rich heritage of respect for the environment and sustainable practices.

Saturday, April 21 features educational seminars, hands-on demonstrations and activities on a wide variety of renewable energy topics for the entire family. The day will also include entertainment, abundant food and soft beverages, and a fun-filled community environment.

The 2nd Annual Renewable Energy festival is free and open to the public. Please join us for this fun and educational community gathering which seeks to plant the seeds for a greener future.

The Renewable Energy Festival is organized by an informal cadre of volunteers most of whom are residents of Rio Arriba county. The group operates under the popular moniker of Renewable Energy Action (REA).

Northern New Mexico College is generously hosting the Renewable Energy Festival. The festival’s fiscal sponsor is: Conservation Voters of New Mexico – Education Fund (CVNM-EF) a Santa Fe based private-not-for-profit organization.
