The City of Santa Fe releases the 2017-2018 CAPER

The public is invited to attend a hearing on September 12, 2018 to discuss accomplishments related to affordable housing, public services and community facilities.

The City of Santa Fe receives an annual grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) called the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Funds are used to address the housing and community development needs of Santa Fe’s residents with low-and-moderate-incomes. As a condition of funding, the City will be submitting theConsolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) to HUD which describes how CDBG funds and other local and state funds were used in the community for the program FY 17-18 years ending June 30, 2018. The Report describes the extent to which priorities, goals and strategies have been met for the fifth year within the City’s 2013 – 2017 Consolidated Plan cycle.

A draft of the 2017-2018 CAPER reflecting community and stakeholder input is available for review and comment on the City of Santa Fe’s website in the Policy and Research section of the Office of Affordable Housing landing page at http://www.santafenm.gov/affordable_housing.  Copies of the CAPER are also available for comments at the Office of Affordable Housing, the Main Library, Genoveva Chavez Community Center and the Southside Library from August 27-September 12, 2018.

A public hearing to consider the CAPER will be held at a regular City Council meeting on September 12, 2018 at 7 pm, in the City Council Chambers located at 200 Lincoln Avenue.
