Eagle Nest Lake State Park Closed to Boating

By NM Parks

Eagle Nest Lake is closed to boating and ice-fishing due to a layer of ice forming  over most of the lake.  These conditions prohibit boating or ice fishing activities. The lake is currently closed to all watercraft including canoes, kayaks, and inflatables as well as all types of motor boats. Park staff will continue monitoring ice conditions and will advise when the lake is safe for ice fishing.

Boat ramp access is closed, but hiking trails are open at the park. Please call the park office at

(575) 377-1594 for current fishing and lake conditions or visit the park’s webpage at   http://www.emnrd.state.nm.us/SPD/eaglenestlakestatepark.html.
