Lake Van: Karyme Lopez of Roswell caught a 19-inch trout Feb. 17. She was using PowerBait.

Northeast Fishing Report
Cabresto Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Charette Lakes: Opens for the season March 1.
Cimarron River: Stream flow below Eagle Nest on Monday morning was 1.87 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Clayton Lake: Opens for the season March 1.
Conchas Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Costilla Creek: Mark your calendar to check this one out next spring.
Cowles Ponds: Check this one out in the spring for some great trout action.
Coyote Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Eagle Nest Lake: Fishing was good using worms and ice jigs tipped with worms for perch. Fishing was fair using worms, PowerBait, spoons and ice jigs for rainbow trout. We had no reports on northern pike or kokanee.
Eagle Rock Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Fawn Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Gallinas River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Hopewell Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Alice: The lake has been closed to fishing due to thin ice conditions.
Lake Maloya: Ice thickness as of Monday was about 16 inches. Fishing was good using PowerBait, spoons, tubes, homemade dough bait, worms, salmon eggs and ice jigs for trout up to 14 inches.
Los Pinos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Maxwell Lake 13: Opens for the season March 1.
Monastery Lake: We had no reports from anglers. The lake is closed to ice fishing.
Morphy Lake: Closed for a renovation project on the dam. Work is scheduled to be completed by June 1, but no firm opening date has been set.
Pecos River: Stream flow near the town of Pecos on Monday morning was 21.0 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using small nymphs, worms and Fire Balls for trout.
Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday morning was 29.5 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using worms, salmon eggs, wooly buggers and San Juan worms for trout.
Rio Grande: Stream flow at the Taos Junction Bridge was 362 cfs. Fishing was slow to fair using leeches, weighted wooly buggers, spoons and worms for trout. We had no reports on other species.
Rio Hondo: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Mora: Stream flow on Monday morning was 3.72 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Pueblo: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Santa Cruz Reservoir: The lake remains completely frozen over. No fishing at this time.
Shuree Ponds: Closed for the season.
Springer Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Storrie Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Stubblefield Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Ute Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was extremely light.
Northwest Fishing Report
Abiquiu Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week. The lake level is very low, and the concrete boat ramp is completely out of the water.
Animas River: Water flow below Aztec on Monday morning was 240 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Albuquerque Area Drains: Trout fishing on the Albuquerque, Albuquerque (South), Belen and Peralta drains was very good using PowerBait, worms, Fire Balls, copper John Barrs, baetis nymphs, bunny leeches and bead head pheasant tail nymphs. We had no reports on other species.
Bluewater Lake: As of this past Monday, the lake remained closed to fishing due to dangerous ice conditions. For updated conditions, call the state park office at (505) 876-2391.
Brazos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Canjilon Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Chama River: Monday morning flows below El Vado and Abiquiu were 24.9 cfs and 292 cfs respectively. Trout fishing below Abiquiu was fair to good using small bead head nymphs, worms and salmon eggs. We had no reports from below El Vado.
Cochiti Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
El Vado Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week. For ice updates, call the state park office at (575) 588-7470.
Fenton Lake: Fishing was good using Kastmasters, corn, meal worms, ice jigs, salmon eggs and PowerBait. The ice thickness on Monday was about 15 to 17 inches. Joseph Salazar of Los Lunas caught a nice 19-inch rainbow February 24. He was using a green Trout Magnet.
Heron Lake: The ice thickness as of Sunday morning was 11 inches. Fishing was fair using ice jigs, small spoons and worms for rainbow trout. We had no reports on other species. For updates on ice conditions, check the state park web site or call the state park office at (575) 588-7470.
Jackson Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, Fire Balls and Kastmasters for trout. We had no reports on other species.
Jemez Waters: Stream flow on the Jemez near the town of Jemez on Monday morning was 23.3 cfs. Trout fishing on the lower Jemez was good again this past week for anglers using worms, copper John Barrs, mop flies and PowerBait. We had no reports from the other streams.
Laguna del Campo: Closed for the season.
Lagunitas Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Farmington: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Manzano Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Navajo Lake: Fishing for northern pike was fair using large crank baits and swim baits. We had no reports on other species. Fishing pressure was very light.
San Gregorio Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
San Juan River: Stream flow below Navajo Lake on Monday morning was 284 cfs and visibility was not good for the sight angler. Trout fishing was good through the Quality Water for anglers using mouse patterns, white and olive leech patterns, egg patterns, Big Macs, little princess nymphs, emergers and Sidewinders. Through the bait waters, trout fishing was fair to good using worms, Fire Balls, PowerBait, small streamers and egg patterns.
Seven Springs Brood Pond: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Tingley Beach: Fishing was very good using homemade dough baits, salmon eggs, PowerBait and wax worms for trout. We had no reports on other species.
Trout Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Southwest Fishing Report
Alumni Pond: Fishing was good using PowerBait, homemade dough bait and Velveeta cheese for trout. Tony Lujan of Las Cruces caught a 14-inch largemouth bass on February 24. He was fishing for trout and using garlic quesito.
Bear Canyon Lake: Fishing was fair using worms, PowerBait and spinners for rainbow trout.
Bill Evans Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, homemade dough bait and salmon eggs for trout. We had no reports on other species.
Caballo Lake: Fishing was slow for all species.
Elephant Butte Lake: Fishing was fair to good using spinner baits, swim jigs, crank baits, creature baits and plastic worms for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and white bass. Fishing was fair using cut bait for catfish. We had no other reports.
Escondida Lake: Fishing was very good using PowerBait, homemade dough bait, Fire Balls and spoons for trout.
Gila River: Stream flow on Monday morning was 209 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Glenwood Pond: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Roberts: Fishing was very good using PowerBait, worms, Fire Balls and homemade dough bait for trout.
Percha Dam: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Quemado Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rancho Grande Ponds: Fishing was good using worms, PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout.
Rio Grande: Stream flow below Elephant Butte Monday morning was .30 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Snow Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Young Pond: The pond remains closed for cleaning and repair.
Southeast Fishing Report
Alto Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Berrendo Creek: Fishing was good using PowerBait and worms for trout.
Bataan Lake: Fishing was good using worms, Fire Balls, PowerBait and garlic cheese for trout.
Black River: Stream flow at Malaga on Monday morning was 12.1 cfs. Fishing was good using worms and PowerBait for trout.
Blue Hole Park Pond: Fishing was very good using Fire Balls, worms and PowerBait for trout.
Bonito Lake: Closed until further notice by the city of Alamogordo due to fire damage. It appears now that the lake will be out of commission until the spring of 2020.
Bosque Redondo Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Bottomless Lakes: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait for trout.
Brantley Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Carlsbad Municipal Lake: Fishing was very good using PowerBait, homemade dough bait, salmon eggs and Pistol Petes under a bubble for trout.
Chaparral Park Lake: Trout fishing was very good using PowerBait, worms and salmon eggs.
Corona Pond: Fishing was good using Fire Balls and PowerBait for trout.
El Rito Creek: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, copper John Barrs, Gulp eggs and garlic cheese for trout.
Eunice Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait for trout.
Green Meadow Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, homemade dough bait and Fire Balls for trout.
Greene Acres Lake: Fishing was fair using PowerBait, salmon eggs, worms and spoons for trout.
Grindstone Reservoir: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Ruidoso River: Stream flow on Monday morning at Hollywood was 23.7 cfs. Trout fishing was good using salmon eggs, egg patterns and copper John Barrs for trout.
Santa Rosa Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was very light.
