(For Immediate Release) – Your Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe, the keeper of Zozobra’s flame, is excited to welcome YOU to the FREE Annual City of Santa Fe Fourth of July Celebration at Santa Fe Place Mall. We are thrilled to once again host a party to celebrate our nation’s birthday. Come, bring your family and friends, and celebrate with us as a community!

“The Santa Fe Kiwanis are honored to once again host the City of Santa Fe’s Fourth of July Spectacular! We think this community event is especially important in helping to reduce the risk of fires started from individual fireworks. Studies have proven that municipalities holding fireworks shows for the community, drastically cut down on individuals lighting fireworks on their own. These fireworks shows are done by professionals with fire department personnel on standby. I hope you will join me for a safe, fun fireworks display and festivities on the Fourth of July at Santa Fe Place Mall!” – Ray Sandoval, Event Chairman

This event is completely free, WITH FREE PARKING! The easy in and out access makes it simple to come, enjoy the festivities, and leave in a timely manner.

There will be an amazing line up of live entertainment from local musicians ready to rock your feet and make you get up and dance! Come see Dream Noise at 6 PM, Sol Fire at 7 PM and and Fun Adixx at 8 PM! What’s not to love about that?!?!

The City of Santa Fe funds the cost of the event, and Kiwanis volunteers are donating their years of Zozobra experience to organize a great celebration and handle the set-up and clean-up at no cost. To aid the Club’s fundraising efforts, revenue-sharing partnerships with onsite food trucks mean you can leave your dinner worries to the professionals!

A variety of food trucks and vendors onsite will tempt your taste buds. Expect to find New Mexican food, Aqua Frescas, Shaved Ice, African/Caribbean cuisine, BBQ, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Fries and Funnel Cakes to fill you up! And don’t forget to visit the mall to multiply your food options and satisfy your appetite!

To add to the excitement, the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe will be introducing the official 2019 Zozobra T-shirt and Poster artists!! You can be the first to purchase 2019 Zozobra merchandise and tickets for the big event, so be sure to and make your way to the Zozobra merchandise tent and stock up!

Just wait until you see Zozobra come to life on this year’s t-shirt and poster, with animation by the RealityX2 app!

Santa Fe Place Mall has proved to be a perfect spot for visitors and Santa Fesinos from all parts of our city to come together and celebrate Independence Day! The Santa Fe Place Mall location provides ample room for all to enjoy the festivities. As Event Chair Ray Sandoval says, “We really want people to celebrate as one big inclusive community in gratitude for the birth of our nation at a completely free event for all.”

The Santa Fe Place Mall site also offers an upfront view for the amazing fireworks that Kiwanis always delivers. This year’s high altitude fireworks display promises to be even better than ever! Kiwanis has a flare for fire, and we’re planning a show that will excite the whole family!
