Red River: 
Pearl Yeager of Des Montes caught a 19.5-inch brown trout using a spinner Dec. 19.
Berrendo Creek: Valerie Wyatt of Roswell caught her limit of rainbow trout using Kastmaster lures and Pistol Pete spinners Dec. 18.
Tingley Beach: Leah Gonzales, age 10, of Albuquerque along with her father Mario Gonzales caught their limit of rainbow trout using cheese PowerBait Dec. 17.

Cimarron River: Stream flow cfs, near Cimarron Monday morning, was not measured due to ice. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Clayton Lake: The lake is closed to fishing and boating until March 1, 2020.

Costilla Creek: Stream flow cfs, near Costilla Monday morning, was not measured due to ice. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Cowles Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Coyote Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Eagle Nest Lake: Closed due to unsafe ice conditions.
Eagle Rock Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Morphy Lake: Closed for a renovation project on the dam and no firm opening date has been set.
Pecos River: Stream flow near the town of Pecos Monday morning was 28.8 cfs. Fishing for trout was fair using worms.
Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery Monday morning was 36.3 cfs. Fishing for trout was fair to good using spinners and PowerBait.
Rio Grande: Stream flow at the Taos Junction Bridge Monday morning was 405 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Hondo: Stream flow cfs, near Valdez Monday morning, was not measured due to ice. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Mora: Stream flow Monday morning was 23.5 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Pueblo: Stream flow cfs, near Penasco Monday morning, was not measured due to ice. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Santa Cruz Reservoir: The lake was beginning to ice over.
Shuree Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week. Fishing is open on the Valle Vidal, including Shuree Ponds, July 1-Dec. 31.
Springer Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Storrie Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Stubblefield Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Ute Lake: Fishing for white bass and walleye was fair vertical jigging blade baits in 45 to 50 feet of water. We had no reports on other species. The main lake watercolor was clear, and the water temperature was 45.

Northwest Fishing Report

Abiquiu Lake: Fishing for walleye was fair using blade baits. Due to low water levels anglers are advised to use four-wheel drive vehicles to launch boats and watch for obstructions on the water.
Animas River: Water flow below Aztec Monday morning was 212 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Albuquerque Area Drains: Fishing for trout was fair to good using salmon eggs and PowerBait. One angler reported catching a pike using a hair jig in the Corrales drain.
Bluewater Lake: Fishing for trout was fair. The winter trout stocking plan is to stock 6,000 catchable size rainbow trout per month from November through March.
Brazos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Canjilon Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Chama River: Monday morning flows below El Vado and Abiquiu were 111 cfs and 52.2 cfs respectively. We had no reports this week from below El Vado Lake. Fishing for trout below Abiquiu Lake was good using gold beaded pheasant tail nymphs, black zebra midges, red zebra midges, Frenchies and dart flies. The water clarity was about two feet.
Cochiti Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
El Vado Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Fenton Lake: The lake is closed to ice fishing until ice conditions improve. Please remember that only two cutthroat trout are allowed to be harvested per day within the regular five-fish limit.
Heron Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Jemez Waters: Stream flow on the Jemez River near the town of Jemez Monday morning was 17.9 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Laguna del Campo: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lagunitas Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Farmington: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Manzano Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
McGaffey Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Navajo Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week. Kokanee salmon snagging season is open from Oct. 1 – Dec. 31. We had no reports on other species.
San Gregorio Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
San Juan River: Stream flow Monday morning was 570 cfs. Fishing for trout in the quality waters was fair to good using bright colored nymphs such as red midge larva pattern flies. Also leech pattern flies in the colors white, olive and black were working fair to good.
Seven Springs Brood Pond: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Tingley Beach: Fishing for trout was good using garlic-scented PowerBait and cheese PowerBait.
Trout Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
