Fourteen years ago, there was a great void in unified Christian support for Israel. Today, with God’s blessing, Christians United for Israel is the foremost Christian organization educating and empowering over 8 million Christians to speak and act with one voice in defense of Israel and the Jewish people. This divinely orchestrated movement has grown exponentially over the past 14 years, and we are now counted among Israel’s strongest supporters and greatest friends.
Your contributions to our mission to defend Israel and fight anti-Semitism have enabled CUFI to make a tangible impact in demonstrating unconditional love to the Jewish people through decisive action. Your support is helping to heal centuries of old wounds inflicted by the harmful teachings of replacement theology and it is restoring the bond between Jews and Christians that the Apostle Paul referred to in Romans 9-11.
However, there is so much more to do. As Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor and theologian who stood against the anti-Semitic and murderous regime of Adolf Hitler, said, “We are not to simply bandage the wounds of victims beneath the wheels of injustice; we are to drive a spoke into the wheel itself.”
In the face of the cascade of anti-Semitism in our nation, we must not be content only to comfort Israel and the Jewish people through words—we must confront this evil with clear-eyed determined action and combat it with all our might until it is no more!
In order to ensure CUFI’s continued success in this effort, it is important not only to make an impact on this generation, but on the next generation of influencers as well. One of the ways you are helping us reverse centuries of Christian anti-Semitism from peer group to peer group is by educating young college students with the truth about Israel.
For example, last month, 150 of our top campus activists attended the CUFI on Campus Student Advocacy and Leadership Training (S.A.L.T.) in San Antonio, which focused on their support of Israel with 20/20 vision. These elite student leaders were deliberately chosen because of their dedication to pro-Israel advocacy on their campuses and their faithful commitment to the Lord’s biblical mandate to love and bless the Jewish people.
After receiving in-depth instruction and training, our students returned to their campuses invigorated and equipped to defeat the insidious BDS movement, to debunk lies about Israel and with the full understanding that Israel is the only beacon of freedom and democracy in the Middle East. Because of your generous support, this year alone, CUFI has trained student activists on over 400 campuses nationwide, from UCLA to Harvard, turning the tide of anti-Israel activity on college campuses in our nation.
This month, our annual CUFI Leadership Summit will be held in San Antonio with our top grassroots leaders from around the country. I thank the Lord for these individuals who work tirelessly, volunteering their time and resources in their spheres of influence as they stand on the frontlines defending Israel and the Jewish people. Undoubtedly, we need every one of our eight million members motivated and mobilized in our fight to eradicate every trace of anti-Semitism—in all its forms, wherever it may be found. Thank you for faithfully supporting us and standing alongside us in this critical battle against the world’s oldest hatred.
Thank you for refusing to be silent or complacent as the ancient evil of anti-Semitism sweeps our nation at levels not seen in decades. You are helping us make Israel stronger and the Jewish people safer every day.
