We are celebrating our 20th Anniversary of head-shaving.

By St. Baldrick’s Foundation
In 2000, when our first head-shaving event was held to raise money for pediatric cancers, those behind it could not have imagined that St. Baldrick’s would grow into the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants. We are proud to say that, because of the support of our participants, volunteers and donors, St. Baldrick’s has played a part in every major advancement in childhood cancer research since its inception.

We share some of those breakthroughs in our “Research Outcomes” blog series:

As an event-funded organization, we rely on the revenue from our head-shaving events to fund the most promising childhood cancer research. Recent restrictions on gatherings have caused events to be cancelled or rescheduled, jeopardizing seasonal fundraising that is key to ensure that our summer grants – our largest grant cycle of the year – are able to meet the demand to help kids with cancer.
Today we ask you to show kids with cancer that you will #DFYchildhoodCancers by making a $20 donation to the mark the 20th — these kids need you more than ever.
Donate $20 Now
Our goal is to raise $20,000 through this campaign to help fund a vast range of lifesaving pediatric cancer research – for cancers such as DIPG (for which there is no known cure yet) or neuroblastoma (whose relapse is nearly always fatal). You will also help fund promising projects underway to improve existing treatments, making them less toxic with fewer side effects.

How can you donate?

  • Give $20 now to fund four hours of the coordination of a clinical trial, often a child’s best hope for a cure.
  • Give $20/month to fund 12 hours of research annually, to improve the quality of life for childhood cancer patients and survivors.
Together, we can achieve this goal and give kids with cancer hope. Because in a world with so many cancellations, we need to let these kids know that hopehas not been cancelled.
