May God Bless Our Mothers!

“When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then he said  to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.”

John 19:26-27

While on the cross, the Lord Jesus still had care and concern for His mother, Mary.  Seeing her there, He handed her over to the care of ‘the disciple whom he loved John! While suffering…these words were among a handful that he spoke on the cross. Jesus showed us the importance of honoring our mother even as he was being put to death. Let us strive to love and honor our mothers as our lord did.  Let us make sure they are taken care of for the rest of their days !
