Santa Fe County Collection Centers Return to Punch Card System

By Santa Fe County

Santa Fe County will reinstate the solid waste punch card system at all CountyCollection Centers beginning Saturday, August 1, 2020, ending the Notice of Action implemented on April 20 to suspend punches until further notice.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, all county wide centers have remained open and continued providing services at full capacity, and since the signing of the notice, the County has collected over 400 tons of trash at no charge to the its residents.

All centers will continue to follow Public Health Orders issued by the State, in addition to all other laws, rules, and regulations. Following social distancing guidelines and mask requirements, there will be a limited number of vehicles allowed on the tipping floor and in the recycling center at a time and face coverings must be worn. Please note, punch cards are nontransferable and must be presented by the owner of the card.

Punch cards can be purchased by county residents Monday thru Friday at the Public Works Department from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Treasurer’s Office at the Administrative Complex by appointment only, and the Pojoaque and Edgewood satellite offices on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Public Works and the satellite offices will not accept cash or debit/credit cards, all payments must be in the form of a check or money order.

Santa Fe County understands the economic impact some residents may be facing at this time, and continues to assist in relief when possible. If you are in need of assistance, please contact the CONNECT program. If you need additional Solid Waste information, please contact Les Francisco at 505-992-3068.
