One day after the National Basketball Association postponed its Wednesday schedule, and Major League Baseball postponed four games the same day in protest of the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisc.,Tuesday, the National Hockey League is following suit by postponing its two playoff games scheduled for tonight.
It was reported that the Vancouver Canucks were the driving force after learning the were not taking the ice against the Las Vegas Golden Knights at Rogers Place in Edmonton tonight. There was no official report from the league, but the New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers’ players were telling reporters that their game tonight will be postponed at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
