By New Mexico Wildlife
The Department of Game and Fish is very pleased to share the all-digital summer issue of New Mexico Wildlife. The cover of this issue features New Mexico’s state bird, the greater roadrunner, in recognition of the new Share with Wildlife conservation license plate available this fall.
In this issue, you can read about cutthroat trout conservation, hunting Persian ibex in the Florida Mountains and the history of the Department’s bear head logo.
In addition to the magazine, please take a look at New Mexico Wildlife Monthly Update, an e-newsletter featuring stories exclusive to the Department website. The Department is always eager to share news about critical missions such as wildlife population surveys, fish spawns and habitat improvements.
Whether you are a seasoned hunter or angler, an avid birdwatcher, wildlife photographer or just someone who enjoys getting outside and taking in the beauty of our diverse state, we hope you find New Mexico Wildlife to be a great resource. Please feel free to send us your feedback atAlexa.Henry@state.nm.us. We always appreciate hearing from our readers.
