Santa Fe Community College and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center will observe Labor Day, Monday, September 7. No classes will be held, and no student services will be available. SFCC’s child development center, Kids Campus will be closed. Wifi will be available in the HEC parking lot for students, but the SFCC main parking lot will be closed.
All SFCC and HEC buildings are closed to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions. Most fall credit and noncredit classes are online and will resume on September 8 after the holiday. Staff at SFCC main campus (6401 Richards Ave.) and the HEC (1950 Siringo Road) will resume services via email, phone and virtual platforms beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 8. Kids Campus re-opens on September 8and is limited to those who have pre-registered and are following strict protocols.
Throughout the year, SFCC offers a variety of ways to stay notified about weather- and holiday-related delays, cancellations, closures and emergencies. While the college does notify the public of severe weather and emergency conditions through print, television and radio news outlets, additional information can be accessed quickly through the following:
