NCRTD to Help Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

By NCRTD

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) today announced that one of its iconic RTD Blue Bus’s has gone pink for breast cancer awareness month and beyond.

“We felt that in this year more than any, when our thoughts are rightfully focused on the health of all around us, our support for breast cancer awareness must not be overlooked,” stated Anthony Mortillaro, NCRTD Executive Director.  “People are impacted by breast cancer every day so it’s also important that this not be something we just think about for the month of October but keep in our hearts year-round.”

The October Breast Cancer Awareness month is to show every woman that they are essential and help ensure that each woman has access to education, screening, treatment, support and hope.

The North Central Regional Transit District, commonly known as the RTD and by its “Blue Bus” provides public transit throughout more than 10,000 square miles encompassing the northern New Mexico counties of Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos and Rio Arriba; as well as each of the Eight Northern Pueblos and the Jicarilla Apache Nation. During the current pandemic, the District continues to provide transit for persons requiring essential trips. Appropriate social distancing is maintained on the vehicles and face coverings are required.
