Visitors Can Now Purchase State Park Day Use Passes Online

By NM State Parks

The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, State Parks Division is promoting a new online feature for park visitors. Effective today, visitors will be able to purchase a day-use pass for $5 plus a small transaction fee through Reserve America atwww.reserveamerica.com. This option allows visitors to purchase and print a pass online prior to arriving at a park and provides non-cash options for payment.

“Enabling the public to purchase day-use passes online also helps reduce the face-to-face contact with our staff and helps mitigate the spread of COVID-19 during the current health pandemic,” said Christy Tafoya, State Parks Director. This initiative is part of State Parks’ Next Generation of Adventure campaign to enhance the visitor experience through improved technology, facility upgrades, and more park programs.  Visitors may continue to pay for a day-use pass at the park in addition to buying it online.

To ensure the safety of visitors, State Park staff and local communities, state park officials remind visitors to continue to practice social distancing, keep groups to 10 people or less, wear masks or face coverings in public areas and  follow personal hygiene guidelines while visiting parks for outdoor recreation.
