“It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?”

Hebrews 12:7

God’s discipline proves that he considers believers to be his sons since God reprimands every son whom he receives. Discipline was a common term for childrearing through instruction, training, and correction; however, here Hebrews focuses on the call for perseverance in the painful tests of life. These tests are to benefit us, to strengthen our relationship with God. In times of struggle let us endure for God, knowing that regardless of what we go through He will be with us every step of the way
